CES 2024: A Look into the Future of Technology

My Experience

I just got back from CES 2024 in Las Vegas and it was wild. I intended on going to this event and making a vlog out of it, but I just felt like a total dork walking around holding up a camera and talking to myself throughout the event. So, I started to make a couple of clips, but it felt dumb, and I decided to just capture a whole bunch of b-roll instead and then share my experience of CES instead of trying to do it in that vlog style. Maybe someday I’ll feel comfortable doing that, but right now I still don’t.

My goal with this video is to not only show off all the cool tech that I came across, but to kind of give you an idea of what the CES experience is like, to share some of my thoughts about what’s in store for the future. Because when you go to an event like CES, you are literally looking into the future. You’re seeing what all of the biggest companies in the world, all of the brand new startup small companies in the world that are developing cool tech, and everybody in between are building and trying to put out to the world. So, you truly get this glimpse of “this is where everything is headed”. Now, some of the stuff that’s being built and shared will probably not take off and ever get picked up by normal consumers, but some of the stuff you see makes you go “wow, that’s gamechanging”.

I want to walk you through my experience, the cool stuff that I came across, and my thoughts about where all of this is headed. Now, it is practically impossible to describe the scale of this event without actually being there. The event spanned across something like 30 different venues, and there were over 100,000 people. I think one of the numbers I saw was 120,000 people come out to CES. The amount of the crowds and the amount of walking, and the amount of venues this is spread out across is just massive. It literally takes over the entire city of Vegas for the week, and there’s really just no way to describe the amount of people that are there and the amount of exhibits that you can possibly see.

  1. The Day will come when Humans will use AI and Robots so much that We will No longer need to get out of bed. We will become a large eyeball with no arms or legs with only a voice and thoughts to control AI I’m lazy Can’t wait !!!!!

  2. The morons who think AI is gonna take all of our jobs should do the gene pool a favour and not breed.

Edit: Okay, maybe they're right. The robots are gonna take our jobs, not necessarily the AI tech. OR new jobs will be created and people will still have to be in certain jobs to make sure the robots don't fuck up and be additional workers.

  3. Regarding human form in robots, our "fall forward" standing walk is incredibly energy efficient and also lifts the walker off of the ground giving it much better sensory perception for both vision and hearing. In addition, keeping the structure off the ground helps keep things cleaner. If there was a more efficient way for us to move around, then we would have evolved that way. Four-legged lifeforms are also very efficient, however there are more issues. Keeping the structure clean and they are at a sensory disadvantage.

  4. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ so long ducky ….. next year your robotic overlords will be running the show and attending the conference …… you will be processed into nano goo ……… let’s all go to Sugar rock Candy Mountain

  5. Oh god… the lack of a human/dog connection is the LAST problem to worry about with a “ball throwing” sort of, more advanced, feeding machine. More like it will throw it ONCE for the majority of people that have in NO WAY trained their dogs to perfectly place the ball back to a specific spot after retrieving it.
Ffs most dog owners I know have a problem actively getting the ball back from their dog IF THEIR DOG EVEN RUNS BACK TO THEM

  6. All I know is I got a forced update on my phone one day, and after autocorrect …forcibly started deleting and changing my messages, I decided that any civilization that would allow itself to be subjected to being corrected by a machine doesn't deserve to exist. Therefore, I have decided to drop out of society and not so much as… use voice mail because I am not going to talk to a machine.

  7. Imagine that every kitchen in the world had no oven, but needed to send food to a "central community oven" to be cooked and then sent back to each kitchen. What nonsense. Having every AI device in the world connected to a cloud server is similiar nonsense (monopoly marketing).

  8. Awesome video! Just found you, subscribed!!
I can’t believe you say “does the bot really need to be humanoid? 100%!
It will be this year or next that someone will put some silicone skin and hair on one, and you can sleep with an insatiable Megan Fox every night! Just like porn brought us all that really good streaming. These toys will be nothing ! Compared with a really good BILF ™!!
There! I said it first! 😎😂
