But there was a few really interesting things that were recently released and since a lot of people have downtime between Christmas and New Year’s I thought I’d show off some of the news and cool tools that you could maybe try out in some of your downtime.
Leonardo AI Releases Motion Feature
In the last week, Leonardo AI released Leonardo motion, their new text to video and image to video pipeline. It is now available to all users, both paid and free. Users on their top plan get unlimited video generations.
Using Leonardo Motion
If you go to app.leonardo.da, you can generate motion videos from images. You can animate images and even use a text prompt to create a new video. The motion strength can be adjusted based on your preference.
Pika Labs 1.0 Now Available
Pika Labs 1.0 is now available at p.art. Users can explore the user feed of all the other videos that people have made or prompt their own AI video using various options.
Train Video Models with Mid Journey
Mid Journey mentioned that they are starting to train their video models with mid Journey in January, allowing users to generate videos off of Mid Journey images directly.
Microsoft Co-Pilot and GitHub Updates
Microsoft Co-Pilot now has its own Android app, and sunno AI inside of Microsoft Co-Pilot is available to most accounts now. GitHub Co-Pilot chat is now generally available for organizations and individuals.
New York Times Suing Open AI
New York Times is suing Open AI, claiming that GP-4, an AI model developed by Open AI, repeated their content verbatim. This lawsuit is deemed as one of the most legitimate ones against Open AI so far.
Samsung Unveils AI-Enabled Smart Fridge
Samsung unveiled a new AI-enabled smart fridge that can design recipes based on dietary needs. This will be unveiled at CES next year.
