  1. Hey Sam
    Don’t buy dogs off Kijiji
They fuel dogs ending up in rescues, have a look at specific breeds and then contact the breed clubs for a list of recommended breeders

    Or, go to a shelter

Never ever buy a puppy from online sites like that. That’s how you fuel puppy mills and back yard breeders (which is what the lady is)

  2. okay about flipping art upside down, thats great for drawing faces. flip both the art and the reference upside down and copy what you see. if you dont do that, your brains facial recognition will only focus on the face of the reference and that your drawing doesnt look like it, not the actual landmarks and lines in the face. flipping it upside down makes it look less like a face, and it lets you focus more on the features. its what got me through a realistic portrait project in art class.

  3. One tip I learned in class that I found actually immediately works is that instead of drawing the thing u want to draw, draw what's around it. Or try to draw it upside down. This will help u to not focus on the thing u draw and therefore be more accurate cuz the tunnel vision u get when u focus on an object leads to inaccuracy

  4. Actually Sam, that's the point of flipping it upside down. Your brain is no longer saying "this is supposed to be a face!" Your brain can ONLY focus on "this line/shape belongs here." It's a really useful exercise because it forces you only look at placement, size and relationships of lines or negative space.

  5. I was recommended to flip my drawing vertically, and my photo ref, because I was trying to draw a self portrait and it wasn't looking like me and I couldn't figure out why. 10/10 it helped so much if you're looking to make something look like nonsense to draw the nonsense instead of what you think you see

  6. 4:01 I agree in art class we did this where we flipped it vertically and the version that I looked at a picture normally looked SOOO MUCH BETTER than the one where I flipped it upside down, so it may work for some people but not all.
