Valve’s new policy categorizes AI use in games into two distinct types: pre-generated and live-generated AI. Pre-generated AI refers to creative content like art, music, or code created by AI programs during development, while live-generated AI involves the use of AI to develop assets or scenarios in real time as the game is running.
